Fire Equipment safety signs
|
Each item of Fire Fighting equipment should be marked with the appropriate symbol. Where various types of equipment are stored at one location, `Fire Point" signs may be used. When equipment is stored in a recess or cupboard, a panoramic sign, mounted well above head height, should be used to enable the equipment to be identified from a distance. All lift and elevator entrances should be marked with signs warning that they are not to be used in the event of fire.

Fire Extinguisher Identification signs to BS EN3 incorporating Fire Classes
Since January 1st 1997, all new fire extinguishers in EU countries must have red bodies. Signs identifying their use play an important part in the correct selection of which extinguisher to use in the event of a fire. Our range of Extinguisher ID signs now includes Fire Class symbols to coincide with those displayed on modem extinguishers.

White Self Adhesive Vinyl and Rigid PVC Signs Standard white self adhesive vinyl - 80 micron thick. Standard white rigid PVC material - approx 1mm thick | Photoluminescent Self Adhesive Vinyl and Rigid PVC Signs Photoluminescent materials absorb and store energy from daylight or artificial light and then release that energy in the form of light when the original energy source is removed. Photoluminescent material is traditionally based on zinc-sulphide phosphors. However, the new Strontium based pigments offer far superior performance, either emitting a brighter and longer lasting afterglow or a similar performance to Zinc pigments but from a much reduced ambient light source. As with Zinc pigments, Strontium pigments are non toxic and non radioactive. |
